About Sara

Sara Realini joined YMA in 2016 as an Orchestra teacher. Over the years, she has taught orchestra, bucket drumming, and general music (online during the COVID-19 pandemic). In 2023, she was named the Summer Programs Coordinator, designing and implementing YMA’s first summer camp in June of 2024. 

Sara graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Dual Major in Elementary and Special Education in 2020. Additionally, she earned her Master’s degree in Learning Experience Design and Education Technology from Western Governors University in 2022. In addition to her role with YMA, she also teaches at Haw River Elementary. Sara was named Executive Director of YMA in August 2026.
